My faith in the work being done at the VCU Massey Cancer Center is
strong. I have chosen to forgo prophylactic surgery in response to my
BRCA1 diagnosis because I truly believe that we will find better
detection methods, gentler treatments, and a cure for this disease, in
my lifetime. But the physicians and researchers at Massey can't do that
alone. They need financial support from people like you and me - 29%
of Massey's funding comes from private philanthropy. We all have a
crucial part to play in finding a cure.
Which is why I have pledged to
raise $25,151 as part of the 2013 Massey Challenge. Want
to help me reach this goal, and help further advance our progress in
the fight against cancer? Make a donation here.
And
forward my story to your friends. We will win this war - together.
Remember - Massey can't run without you.
